Iffco Tokio's Sankat Haran Insurance Policy protects farmer against bodily injury or death resulting solely and directly from accident caused by external violent and visible means. An accident may include events like: i. Rail, Road and Air Accident ii. Injury due to any collision / fall iii. Injury due to bursting of gas cylinder iv. Snake bite, Frost bite v. Burn injury, Drowning, Poisoning, etc. Cover is available with every purchase of 50 Kg fertilizer bag of Iffco, Kribhco and Indian Potash. Benefits available with every purchase of fertilizer bag are as under : 1. Death 2. Loss of two limbs, two eyes or One eye or one limb 3. Loss of one limb or one eye 4. Permanent total and absolute disablement Rs. 4000/- Rs. 2000/-Rs.1000/-Rs.2000/- The maximum coverage allowed per farmer under the Policy is Rs.100000/- Coverage is for 12 months. Policy incepts 30 days after the date of issuance of receipt of purchase of fertilizer bag. Exclusion The Policy does not cover: Compensation under more than one of the benefits mentioned in respect of same period of disablement Any other payment after a claim under one of the benefits has been admitted and becomes payable. War and nuclear perils Any existing disablement prior to the date of purchase of Fertilizer bag(s). Committing any breach of law with criminal intent Suicide or intentional self injury Whilst under influence of intoxicating liquor. Pregnancy or childbirth Please note The Cash Receipt or the Debit Note(when Fertilizer is purchased against Credit) issued only by Farmers Service Centres of Indian Potash Ltd. or Cooperative Societies/ Cooperative Federation shall be sole evidence of insurance. Name appearing in the Cash Receipt or Debit Memo is deemed to be insured person. Cash Receipt or Debit Memo is not negotiable. Claim Insured should give immediate notice to Iffco Tokio General Insurance Co. Ltd.(ITGI) and also arrange within 14 days to submit to ITGI the full details of claim in respect of loss or damage sustained. Insured should also tender to ITGI and/or it's deputed representative all reasonable information, assistance and proofs in connection with any claim.
